WELCOME
A space that is truly yours
I’m Roberta, a BACP Member and Integrative Counsellor based in Sutton, Surrey. I offer you a safe, confidential space where you can explore what’s troubling you at your own pace, without judgement.
Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, bereavement, or navigating life’s transitions, I understand that seeking counselling is daunting and I’m here to help you find your way forward. I bring over 20 years of experience supporting people with disabilities and neurodiversity, alongside a deep commitment to integrative practice.
Counselling is not about being told what to do. It is about having the space to understand yourself more fully and from that understanding, finding your own path.

MY APPROACH
Therapy shaped around you
I work integratively, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches rather than following a single rigid model. At the heart of my practice is Person-Centred Therapy — the belief that you are the expert on your own life, and that the right conditions for growth are warmth, honesty and genuine acceptance.
I also draw on Psychodynamic Therapy, which explores how past experiences and unconscious patterns can shape the way we feel and behave today. Understanding these connections can be quietly transformative.
What this means in practice is that our work together is tailored to you. I listen carefully, follow your lead, and bring in different tools and perspectives as and when they feel useful.
Qualifications & Experience
A foundation you can trust
My practice is built on formal training, professional registration and over two decades of real-world experience.

Therapy gives you space to understand yourself better, and to explore patterns in your relationships. It can foster greater self-acceptance, curiosity, help to increase self-awareness and thereby bring more choice and greater freedom in how you live. I work in a relational, compassionate and supportively challenging way, providing a space where you can be heard, understood and empowered to find your own way forward.
I work with people facing a wide range of difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, bereavement and loss, low self-esteem, identity struggles, relationship problems, issues around sexuality, work or study challenges, procrastination and the emotional impact of physical illness.
Therapy brings a lot of benefits, here is a list of just a few of the main ones.
- Ease anxiety, stress and low mood
- Build confidence and self-esteem
- More effective communication
- Healthier coping strategies
- Stronger relationships
- Process trauma, grief and major life events
- Feel less alone and more supported
- Explore your beliefs, values and world-view
- Enhanced creativity and problem-solving
- More able to direct your own life
People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. It’s worth remembering that an event or set of circumstances that may not trouble one person, can be traumatising to another. We’re all different. During therapy I encourage clients to talk about what’s causing them pain or problems, however important or trivial it seems.
There is no pre-determined fixed amount of time to do therapy. Some clients find they get what they need from only a few sessions, whilst others find they want to continue to explore and grow through therapy for months or years. You are free to stop therapy whenever you wish to do so, and continued therapy is through mutual agreement.
Yes there is a dedicated carpark on the site, as well as street parking nearby
Yes, there is ramp access to the building and a lift to the first floor.
This is down to individual need, preference and circumstances. In my experience once a week tends to work well. Weekly sessions tend to be frequent enough for a sense of continuity and depth of work, whilst also allowing enough space between sessions for a client to process what is explored within the sessions.
Cancellations should be made with at least 48 hours notice, otherwise the missed session will be payable in full. Occasionally last minute cancellations due to emergencies and illness are unavoidable for both clients and therapists. Where possible I’ll reschedule the session for the same week.
Generally, everything the client says in a session is confidential. There are rare exceptions to this if I have reason to believe that the client or someone else is at serious risk of harm. I do have monthly supervision with a qualified clinical supervisor to help ensure that I’m working with clients in the best possible way. I do not share details that would make a client identifiable, and the supervisor is bound by the same code of ethics regarding confidentiality.
