MY APPROACH
Therapy Shaped Around You
An integrative approach that respects you as the expert on your own life.

MY APPROACH
The Foundations of My Practice
Counselling is not about being told what to do or following a rigid, pre-determined model. It is about having a safe, confidential space to understand yourself more fully and, from that understanding, finding your own path. Because every person’s experience is entirely unique, I work integratively. This means I draw on different therapeutic approaches and tools, tailoring our sessions dynamically to what feels most useful and supportive to you in the present moment.
MY APPROACH
Integrative Approach
Drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches rather than following a single rigid model to ensure your support is completely tailored to you.
Some Of The Tools I Use
Person-Centred Therapy
At the very heart of my practice is the belief that you naturally hold the capacity for growth and healing. My role is to provide the right conditions for that growth, which are genuine warmth, honesty, and total acceptance. This pillar offers you a supportive space where you can explore what is troubling you at your own pace, completely free of judgment. Together, we work to ease anxiety, build self-esteem, and help you reconnect with your own inner direction.
Psychodynamic Therapy
While person-centred therapy focuses on the present, psychodynamic insights allow us to gently look beneath the surface. We explore how your past experiences, early relationships, and unconscious patterns might be shaping the way you feel, think, and behave today. Understanding these hidden connections can be quietly transformative, giving you more choice and greater freedom in how you navigate your everyday life and relationships.
Additional Specialised Support
Neurodiversity-Affirming Support
When working with ADHD, Autism, or neurodivergence, my approach is strictly affirming. I do not operate in a diagnostic way to fix or change who you are. Instead, we collaborate to help you understand your unique traits, process the challenges of an overwhelming world, and safely build adaptations that respect your natural strengths.
Navigating Disability & Chronic Illness
Drawing on over 20 years of experience supporting people with physical disabilities, chronic conditions, and sensory impairments, I understand the heavy emotional weight that accompanies them. We leave space to talk honestly about pain, fatigue, and the systemic barriers or frustrations you face, ensuring your voice is truly heard and validated.
MY APPROACH
What therapy feels like
Understand the practical experience of our sessions, what to expect from our regular conversations, and how we monitor your progress together.
I am present in the room as a real person, not as a cold or detached blank screen. Our sessions are a supportively challenging, two-way dialogue where we follow your lead and focus on what matters most to you.
What this looks like in practice is built around your individual needs:
- A real, collaborative conversation where we follow your lead
- No preparation needed, allowing you to simply bring yourself and share whatever occurs to you in the moment
- Practice-based evidence where we regularly review our progress together to make sure you are getting exactly what you need
Rather than pushing a single theory, I stay closely attuned to what is actively working for you as an individual. You do not need to bring a script, notes, or homework to therapy, even if that simply means sharing that you do not feel like sharing in that moment.

WORKING TOGETHER
What to expect from our sessions
Counselling can feel like a big step. Here is what working with me actually looks like.
01
A initial consultation
We begin with a no-obligation session so you can get a sense of how I work and whether it feels right. There is no pressure to commit.
02
Regular weekly sessions
Sessions are typically 50 minutes, held weekly at a consistent time. Regularity matters in counselling — it creates a rhythm and a sense of safety that allows deeper work to happen.
03
A pace that is yours
There is no agenda, no homework, no pressure to perform. We go at your pace. Some sessions will feel profound; others quieter. Both are valuable. I will be with you throughout.
