Counselling for Carshalton residents

If you are looking for a counsellor near Carshalton, my practice in Sutton is just a short journey away. I am Roberta, a BACP-registered Integrative Counsellor, and I welcome clients from Carshalton, Carshalton Beeches and the surrounding area. I offer face-to-face sessions at my Sutton practice, as well as online and telephone counselling for those who prefer to work from home.

Carshalton is a distinctive and much-loved part of the London Borough of Sutton, known for its historic ponds, village atmosphere and strong community identity. It is also a place where people face the same pressures as anywhere else — anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, bereavement, the challenges of neurodiversity and disability. These are the areas I specialise in.

I offer a warm, confidential space where you can talk honestly about what is troubling you — without judgement, without pressure, and at your own pace. All sessions are conducted in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.

Getting to my Sutton practice from Carshalton

Carshalton has two railway stations — Carshalton and Carshalton Beeches — both on the Thameslink line, with direct services to Sutton taking just a few minutes. The journey by car is equally straightforward, and there is parking available near my practice.

For clients who prefer not to travel, I offer online video counselling and telephone counselling. Many people find online sessions just as effective as face-to-face work, and the convenience of being at home can itself make it easier to open up. If you are unsure which format suits you, we can discuss this during the initial consultation.

About Roberta — your Carshalton area counsellor

I am a BACP-registered Integrative Counsellor with over 20 years of experience in mental health, disability and neurodiversity settings. I trained in both Person-Centred and Psychodynamic approaches, and I draw on both to offer counselling that is genuinely tailored to you — not a one-size-fits-all model.

I have worked with the RNIB, Sutton Mental Health Foundation and the Royal Marsden Hospital, and I bring the depth of experience from those roles to my private practice. I offer a initial consultation of around 20 minutes, with no obligation to continue. Sessions are 50 minutes, held weekly.
